Allied Zurich gets unified share structure
Shareholders of Allied Zurich in London have voted in favour of unifying the share structure of Zurich Financial Services.
“The shareholders of Allied Zurich approved by a large majority the planned unification of the Group structure as approved by the Board,” the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
The move came as no surprise following a separate vote in favour by shareholders of the co-holding company Zurich Allied in May.
The votes pave the way for a single listing of the group’s shares in Zurich by the end of the year pending regulatory approval.
Allied Zurich and Zurich Allied were formed after the Swiss group moved to merge its business with the financial activities of Britain’s BAT Industries in October 1997.
