Plane crashes in canton Graubünden
Two people have been killed after their small aircraft crashed near the Albula pass, in canton Graubünden. A 39-year-old pilot from the region, and a 62-year-old Zurich woman, died in the accident.
This content was published on July 19, 2001 - 23:14Police said the aircraft, a Cessna 172 registered in Switzerland, had left for Zurich from the airport of Samedan, in the High-Engadine area, shortly before 5pm.
They added that an investigation had been opened into the cause of the accident.
