The year in sound: Sunseekers
All this week swissinfo has been replaying highlights from this year's audio archive. Today we join the Swiss team who spent six days in November crossing the Australian desert on a solar bike.
The “Spirit of Bike” project was a brainchild of the Biel Engineering School, which designed the revolutionary battery-powered vehicle before finding ten cyclists prepared to take turns riding the bike more than 3,000 kilometres from Darwin to Adelaide.
