All this week swissinfo has been replaying highlights from this year's audio archive. Today we join the Swiss team who spent six days in November crossing the Australian desert on a solar bike.

The "Spirit of Bike" project was a brainchild of the Biel Engineering School, which designed the revolutionary battery-powered vehicle before finding ten cyclists prepared to take turns riding the bike more than 3,000 kilometres from Darwin to Adelaide.
