Switzerland's George Bastl has delivered an upset at the ATP tennis tournament in Memphis, Tennessee. In his second round match, Bastl disposed of 10th-seeded Australian Wayne Arthurs 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-2).

It was a good result for the Swiss Davis Cup player who got off to a strong start in the tournament on Tuesday, with an overwhelming victory over America’s Justin Gimelstob. Bastl came back to win after losing the first set 6-1.

In another upset on Wednesday, the Russian qualifier, Dmitry Tursunov, defeated seventh-seeded Greg Rusedski.

Bastl will now go on to face Tursunov in the next round.
