Researchers are working on projects that will improve the environment and benefit people everywhere.
Protecting the environment is enshrined in the Swiss constitution, and consumers are more aware of their responsibility. But while it may be a political option, preserving natural resources extends beyond Switzerland’s borders. Researchers are working on projects that will not only improve the environment at home, but will benefit people all over the world, especially in developing nations.
SFr3.5 billion of public money was spent on protecting the Swiss environment in 2002.
SFr2.5 billion was spent by companies in Switzerland on environmental protection in 2003.
