As well as scoring three goals for the national side, Zuffi can look back on a distinguised club career. Since 1984 he has played almost four hundred matches, playing for Winterthur, Younng Boys Berne, Lugano and Basel.

Many of Zuffi's best performance came while playing in Berne. In 1986 Young Boys won the league championship, followed by the Swiss Cup a year later. In 1991 Zuffi was the league's highest goalscorer.

Although his playing days are now numbered, Zuffi will stay on at Winterthur helping to train the club's youth teams on a part-time basis.
