No problems for Hingis

Hingis showed Lee no mercy Keystone

Swiss star Martina Hingis has brushed aside Taipei's Janet Lee to cruise into the third round of the prestigious Key Biscayne tennis tournament.

The Swiss world number three needed just 50 minutes to down Lee (WTA 108) in straight sets (6-1, 6-0).

Hingis, who received a bye into the second round, is now due to face Tatiana Poutchek of Belarus, who defeated French seed Nathalie Dechy 6-3, 0-6, 6-0.

The $6.3 million Florida event is regarded as the most important tournament on the professional tennis circuit after the four Grand Slam competitions.
