Servette Geneva pulled off a remarkable 4-3 win in a friendly match on Wednesday against the Champions League winners, Real Madrid, scoring the decisive goal in the last minute.

The half-time score was 2-2. But two goals by the Bulgarian, Petrov, in the second half, including one in the 89th minute, swung the game Servette’s way.

The match was watched by 6,250 people, which is a more than came to the club’s first two home matches of the season put together.

Servette’s victory comes just days after they were given a 4-0 hammering at the hands of Lausanne.

Real Madrid’s team included several international stars who had appeared in last year’s successful Champions League campaign, including defenders Geremi and Karanka as well as forwards, Rodrigo and Morientes.

However, Real were without their illustrious new signing, the former Barcelona striker, Luis Figo, who recently became the world’s most expensive footballer. The Portuguese player will make his debut on August 9.
