Skier Styger claims victory in Canada

Switzerland's Nadia Styger has won the women's World Cup downhill event in Canada by just one hundredth of a second, ahead of Lindsey Vonn of the United States.

Julia Mancuso, also from the US, took third place, while Vonn now holds an unassailable lead in the downhill season standings.

Styger celebrated her first downhill victory of the season on Canada’s Whistler mountain after three earlier Super-G wins, and is now in sixth place in the downhill standings.

The Swiss won in one minute, 45.30 seconds to record her fourth career victory.
