Swiss finish second in hockey worlds group

Canada beat Switzerland in a hard-fought 4-3 victory in the group B stage of the ice hockey world championship in Slovakia.

Alex Pietrangelo scored late in overtime on Tuesday, beating Swiss goalie Leonardo Genoni with a wrist shot with 46 second left of the extra period.

It looked like Canada had won the game in Kosice when Chris Stewart made it 3-2 with 3:14 remaining in the game. But Andres Ambuhl equalised with 1:22 left to force overtime.

With the win, Canada finishes in top spot in Group B with eight points and the Swiss finish in second place with six points.
