Swiss tennis player Miroslava Vavrinec has been bundled out of the New York ITF tournament. Vavrinec lost in the second round against Austria's Barbara Schwartz, 6-3, 6-0.

Schwartz, a quarter finalist at the French Open in 1999, needed only 50 minutes to defeat a player who is more than 100 places above her in the rankings.

Vavrinec, the Swiss number three and world number 84, had struggled through the first round, narrowly defeating Czech Klara Louhkalova, a player who doesn’t even register in the WTA rankings, 7-5, 7-6.
