Workers and politicians fight Adtranz closures in Switzerland
More than a thousand workers have protested against the planned closures of Adtranz railway plants in Pratteln (Basel) and Oerlikon near Zurich. More than 700 jobs are to be cut. Politicians from the Basel Country government joined the demonstrations.
