The 19-year-old, who was born in Moscow but grew up in Zurich, remains at the top of the halfpipe rankings after four of nine competitions.
Podladtchikov was beaten on Saturday by Ryoh Aono from Japan and Gregory Bretz from the United States, but the Swiss's consistency – this is his third podium this season – bodes well for the longterm.
Podladtchikov is also an elite skateboarder, having won two major European skateboard contests in 2007.
