ABB wins order worth SFr30 million in China

A subsidiary of the Swiss unit of the global technology concern Asea Brown Boveri (ABB) has won an order worth just under SFr30 million from the Jiangsu Nuclear Power Corporation in China.

ABB High Voltage Technologies will supply gas-insulated switchgear and other equipment in one of the biggest orders won in China.

A statement from the headquarters of ABB Switzerland in Baden said that under the terms of the agreement, ABB High Voltage Technologies will also be responsible for engineering and for the entire installation and commissioning of the Jiangsu Nuclear Power Pant, located on the Yellow Sea.

Delivery is scheduled for the years 2001 and 2002, with the project due for commissioning in October 2003.
