The woman, who worked for banking giant UBS, said she gambled up to SFr90,000 per week over five years.

UBS has confirmed that it alerted police in September after discovering funds were missing at its branch in Neuhausen, near the Swiss-German border.

The 41-year-old woman, who has not been named, was arrested in September and held for several days, according to cantonal police. She was released and is scheduled to appear before a judge.

A UBS spokesman said on Monday that clients' accounts weren't affected by the alleged fraud.
