A 28-year-old man from Zurich, arrested after violence at a local football derby on Sunday, has been sentenced to six months in prison.

The man, convicted many times previously, had been held for criminal assault and obstructing the police. Three other men arrested were released.
Sunday’s game between FC Zurich and Grasshoppers was ended 15 minutes from time as rival fans clashed.
Swiss Football League spokesman Roger Müller called the violence “disappointing” and admitted that several anti-hooligan measures, many of which were copied from other countries, had failed to make an impact.
