Women and Girls join forces in Geneva
Young activists are uniting in Geneva. The first edition of the Young Activists Summit #YAS19 is taking place on Tuesday at the Palais des Nations in Geneva. Nobel Peace Prize winner Nadia Murad is guest of honour at the Young Activists Summit, “Women and Girls Driving Progress”. It is organised by the United Nations Office at Geneva, Swiss public television (RTS) and dev.tv.
The event has brought together six young female activists on UN Human Rights Day. Organised in cooperation with the Graduate Institute, working sessions and bilateral meetings will be held on Wednesday. The activists will meet experts, consultants and officials provided by the Institute. The aim of these sessions is to empower the young activists and strengthen their action with knowledge, technical tools and expert networks.
