Swiss suffer second setback against Sweden

The Swiss national ice hockey team lost against Sweden for the second time this week in a friendly match, designed as a warm-up for the forthcoming world championships.
The Swiss lost 6-2 in their match against Sweden on Friday in Lugano.
After losing the first period 2-1, the Swiss were swamped in the second period. Two goals by Sweden in the last minute gave them an overall 6-2 lead.
The Swiss held their own in the third period and had chances to reduce the Swedes’ lead, but overall can count themselves fortunate the margin of defeat was not greater.
Earlier this week, the Swiss fared better holding Sweden for much of another friendly, but still losing 1-0.
The games were part of a series of warm-up matches for the world championships, which begin in Germany later this month.
