Zurich Lions maintain lead

Table-topping ice hockey side, Zurich Lions, have kept their lead after Friday's victory over the stragglers, Chur. The Lions are now five points clear of their closest rivals, Davos and Ambri-Piotta.

The Lions roared ahead in the first period of their away game, scoring one goal in the first period and stayed ahead throughout the match. They won 4-2.

Ambri managed a 1-0 victory over Zug to stay joint second in the table alongside Davos. The two teams now have 23 points each in the overall league table, while Zug are in fourth position with 20 points.

Davos beat Lugano 3-1. Lugano are currently in sixth place with 18 points.

The Kloten Flyers are leading Lugano in the table with 19 points, and had more success than the Ticinese team during Friday evening’s matches. Kloten beat Langnau 4-2 in front of close to 4,000 spectators. Langnau are down in the playout zone, on 15 points overall.

Berne are currently eighth with 17 points. They trounced the bottom-placed side La Chaux-de-Fonds 6-1.
