German actress Nastassja Kinski has been given a lifetime achievement award at the Locarno Film Festival.

Kinski’s films include “Tess” (1978), directed by Roman Polanski, and “Paris, Texas” (1984), directed by Wim Wenders, which won the Palme D’Or at Cannes.

The festivalexternal link, which is celebrating its 70th birthday, is also showing “Cat People” (1982), in which the 56-year-old actor starred. Fittingly the Locarno award, the Pardino d’oro, means “little golden leopard”.
