Batman hunts down a Basel carnival character
The "Waggis" is usually only found causing mischief at Basel’s Fasnacht carnival. Recently, though, he has also been stirring things up in Gotham City. Thanks to Basel-based Enrico Marini, the illustrator of the latest issue of the DC comic.
A Waggis is a traditional disguise worn at the Basel Fasnacht, mimicking the garb of an Alsatian vegetable farmer. The character’s mask (a “Larve”) traditionally has blonde hair made from yellow raffia. (SRF/swissinfo.ch)
