Electric Blanket: Hymn To Myself
Synth-Pop. Singer Helenka Danis and guitarist Patrick Lerjen are a musician couple from Berne with a penchant for alluring electro sounds. Over the past years, their five-piece band Electric Blanket has attracted an ever-larger fan crowd in Switzerland and even abroad. And their third album, Hymn To Myself, will certainly continue this success story. It features ten airy songs which are subtly enriched with diverse synthetic and acoustic ingredients. On top of it Danis sings dalliant rhymes about private bliss amidst flickering city lights in a girlish, bell-like voice. Noteworthy is a stomping rendition of Wuthering Heights, Kate Bush's reference to Emily Brontë.
