Fabio Pinto: Metamorphosis
World / Jazz. Fabio Pinto was raised in the southern city of Lugano and moved to Berne at age twenty to study guitar at the Swiss Jazz School. With Metamorphosis the now graduate has realized a promising debut album. It displays a delicately balanced blend of world, unobstrusive rock and jazz. Thereby Pinto's crystalline, full guitar tone is especially well rounded with Lukas Roos haunting, serpentine clarinet work. In sum, all quintet members fit together perfectly and let this introvert music flow and glint in its many shades.
