The Young Gods: Everybody Knows
Industrial / Progressive / Rock. The Geneva based quartet The Young Gods, who are presently starting their 25th year in the scene, belong to the worldwide leading artists in their genre. By the mid-80s the combo featuring charismatic singer Franz Treichler chose to incorporate the then relatively new sampling technique into their frantic rock sound. The resulting sonic blend turned out to be prophetic and highly influential. Their debut recording was accordingly awarded album of the year 1987 by the renowned Melody Maker. Up to now TYG have had a turbulent international career. Everybody Knows shines with delirious soundscapes and sublime balance between electronic loops and live played music.
