Fastest growing – and falling – tourist markets
Germans are traditionally the mainstay of hotel guests to Switzerland, but their numbers dropped significantly in the first half of 2012. Other markets appear to be growing in their stead.
Overnight stays in Switzerland rose among Chinese, Indians, Russians, Japanese and Arab States. Meanwhile, only four cantons reported positive growth in the first half of the year.
