Pfadi lose bid to win European handball title
Pfadi Winterthur have given up all hope of becoming the first Swiss team to win the European Handball Championship. The 27-27 draw against Jugovic Kac does not give the "Scouts" a sufficient lead to resist the strong Yugoslav team in the return game next weekend.

In Saturday's game, Pfadi were unable to penetrate the Yugoslav defence. Moreover, Kac's aggressiveness prevented Winterthur's Korean players Cho and Kang from finding their own rhythm.
