SAirGroup’s French subsidiary selects new president

Marc Rochet takes over as the new head of SAirGroup's French subsidiary Keystone

SAirGroup has announced that it has appointed Marc Rochet as the new head of the board of directors of three French airlines controlled by the Swiss group.

Rochet officially takes on the position at the helm of AOM, Air Liberté and Air Littoral on Thursday.

Moritz Suter, the newly appointed head of SAirGroup, the parent company of the Swiss national carrier, Swissair, nominated Rochet on the grounds of his capabilities as “an airline specialist with a solid background”.

Rochet, who replaces Paul Reutlinger, previously held the position of director-general of the air transport group, AOM.

A trade union source indicated that Rochet had received permission to carry out “drastic restructuring, coupled with a social plan”.

There are also changes in the presidency of AOM-Air Liberté’s surveillance council. The council has decided to name René Lapautre to the post of president, replacing Alexandre Couvelaire.
