Tosio hung up his goalkeeping gloves in March following a defeat to Lugano in the championship play-offs. Incredibly, the game completed an uninterrupted run of 655 matches by Tosio for Bern - a world record.

At the end of a highly emotional night for the charismatic star and his fans, Tosio spoke to swissinfo about his playing career and his future plans as sporting director for Chur ice hockey club.
