Celtic say they will face Atletico Madrid in the group stage on Thursday in Spain.

The appeals panel verdict of European football’s governing body came hours after Sion claimed it was reinstated by a Swiss civil court’s provisional ruling.

Sion can challenge Uefa again at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

The panel upheld a Uefa disciplinary body decision awarding Celtic 3-0 wins by forfeit in both legs of the clubs’ Europa League playoff last month.

Sion had won 3-1 on aggregate using five players signed in breach of a transfer ban imposed by world football’s governing body, Fifa.
