Young internet trouble-shooter gunning for the big time
A young Swiss entrepreneur, who specialises in technical maintenance and communication for the Internet, says his company is to create 140 jobs by opening a help centre in the town of Biel.
A young Swiss entrepreneur, who specialises in technical maintenance and communication for the Internet, says his company is to create 140 jobs by opening a help centre in the town of Biel.
BNS Holding, which was founded only three years ago by 24-year-old Stefan Buess with a starting capital of just SFr2,000, will move its operational division from Zürich and open a help line with 20 people from March 1.
The 24-hour telephone service will help solve problems which both individuals and companies may have with the Internet.
BNS currently employs 40 people and at the end of last year showed a profit of SFr200,00 on a turnover of SFr2 million.
At a news conference, Buess said much time was devoted to staff training so that the company could offer top-level advice to its customers. Staff receive an hour’s training a day and receive coaching from an expert once a week.
The move by BNS to Biel has been made in close co-operation with the town’s office for economic promotion, which helped find offices near the railway station and offered its services to help find new staff.
BNS also received direct aid from the office but no details of this have been released.
