Say it in a song

How to get something off your chest.

A Finnish idea has taken root in Switzerland: choirs where the singers have a chance to air their grievances. The Rührwerk association in Zurich has taken the concept further by including people with disabilities in the choir. It all starts with people writing down a line summing up their grumble, and the results are made into a song with the help of a professional musician. The cathartic moment comes when the choir performs – in this instance, at the Wildwuchs festival in Basel. (Christian Raaflaub and Christoph Balsiger, swissinfo.ch)
