The Laténium Archeological Museum stages the exhibition “From the Nile to Alexandria” looking at how ancient Egyptian civilisation depended on the River Nile. An incredible feat of engineering supplied Nile water to the 500,000 inhabitants of the ancient city of Alexandria, founded in 331 BC by Alexander the Great.
