Gabor Boldoczki (*1976 Szeged, Hungary) studied at the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest and attended master classes given by Prof. Reinhold Friedrich, before beginning his international solo career. The Zurich Chamber Orchestra was founded almost sixty years ago by Edmond de Stoutz and rapidly gained international recognition. In 1996 Howard Griffiths took over as artistic director. Focusing in particular on the Viennese masters and their disciples, the ZCO is heard at its best in superlative recordings of Haydn's Creation, Mozart and Ferdinand Ries symphonies and works by Kozeluch, Cherubini and Beethoven.
