Men skiers get new coach
The Swiss ski federation has appointed Osi Inglin as head coach to prepare the men's alpine team for the 2014 Sochi Olympics in Russia.
Swiss Ski says the 42-year-old Inglin will replace current coach Martin Rufener at the end of the season.
Rufener’s departure after seven years was announced last month following a contract dispute with the federation.
Under Rufener last season, Switzerland won two gold medals at the Vancouver Olympics and Carlo Janka became its first overall World Cup champion since 1992.
Inglin says in a statement he’s “excited to be able to take charge of a winning team”.
He was in charge of the Swiss women’s team in 2005-06 after spending two years with ski manufacturer Stöckli.
