It is made up of 11 internationally-known performers who also compose and arrange much of their own material. Within the orchestra itself are eight smaller formations including a jazz group, a trio and a saxophone sextet. The "Groupe Instrumental Romand" is under the direction of Roger Volet, and co-leaders are Luc Hoffmann and Stuff Combe.
