Party time?

Revellers try to forget they’re Swiss and enjoy themselves.

The northern towns of Baden and Würenlingen are both celebrating Fasnacht, carnival ahead of Lent. But while the Würenlingeners kick off their clogs and let their hair down, the burghers of Baden struggle to get into the mood. In fact the only thing the two towns have in common is that both employed bands from across the border to provide the music. Pictures by Roger Wehrli.
