What was going through Dali, Magritte or Miro's minds?

Basel's Beyeler Foundation is displaying works by the Surrealists as part of a major exhibition. Surrealism was one of the 20th century's important literary and artistic movements that included personalites such as Dali, Miro, Magritte and Oppenheim. Their work is often enigmatic, with the subconscious competing with the irrational for space. More than 100 works from around the world are on display from October 2, 2011 to January 29, 2012.
