UBS Said to Be Under New Tax-Evasion Investigation in U.S.

(Bloomberg) — Swiss bank UBS Group AG is facing a new investigation by the U.S. into whether it helped Americans evade taxes through the use of securities that let owners conceal their identity, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Peter Carr, a spokesman for the Justice Department and Marsha Askins, a New York-based spokeswoman for UBS, declined to comment.
