Organisers said on Tuesday that the 28-year-old Swiss and his 23-year-old Spanish rival had committed to play in the three-day event starting on December 31.
The six-player tournament, which is not part of the ATP Tour, offers a winner-takes-all prize of $250,000 (SFr255,000).
Britain’s Andy Murray, currently ranked third in the world, won the inaugural event last year, beating both Federer and Nadal.
