Ermano Maggini (1931 – 1999): The String Quartets. Canto VII, Canto XIV, Canto XXI. Gewandhaus -Quartett Leipzig.
Ermano Maggini was born in Intragna in Canton Ticino. He lived in Zurich for forty years; he studied at the city's music academy, and later earned his living as a music teacher. With Maggini, Switzerland gained a musical, artistic, visionary oeuvre that has so far only partly discovered.
