MUSIC: Lucerne Festival in Summer
KKL, Lucerne, on now till September 19, 2009
The theme of this year’s summer festival is Nature, with Kaija Saariaho and Jörg Widmann as composers-in-residence and starring mezzo-soprano Magdalena Kožená and pianist Yefim Bronfman. It goes without saying that maestro Claudio Abbado will open the season with his Lucerne Festival Orchestra.
