Launch of the Russian service of swissinfo.ch

The Russian language news service of swissinfo.ch went online as planned on January 17, 2013.

swissinfo.ch will provide in depth reports and information in Russian on political, economic, cultural and social events. The new Russian editorial staff will also publish relevant news from and about Switzerland aimed especially at a Russian-speaking audience.

We already have a very wide variety of reports in Russian about Switzerland on our site. For example, stories about the development of rail infrastructure in Switzerland. In the near future we will be informing our Russian readers about the Swiss army’s mandatory service. For the launch the Russian service has started off small, but swissinfo.ch will continuously expand its Russian content and add new features.
