Geneva fair unveils some useful tools, and some that are useless but fun!

The Inventions Fair in Geneva has 765 exhibitors this year, demonstrating 1,000 new inventions. It’s considered to be the biggest and most important show of its kind in the world. For the first time, there’s a pavilion dedicated to 14 universities and research centres from eight different countries, including Saudi Arabia, Syria and Ethiopia. A documentary and animation filmmaker from Bern, Michele studied film at Zurich University of the Arts. He's been a swissinfo.ch video journalist since 2004 and has a special interest in developing new video formats for mobile viewing, mixing animation and documentary styles.

Julie worked as a radio reporter for BBC and independent radio all over the UK before joining swissinfo.ch's predecessor, Swiss Radio International, as a producer. After attending film school, Julie worked as an independent filmmaker before coming to swissinfo.ch in 2001.
