Schneider steps down from the board

Swiss diver Jacqueline Schneider has announced her retirement from professional sport, ending a highly successful 13-year career.
The 29-year-old from Zurich celebrated both her greatest moments in Australia. In 1998 she finished fourth off the one-metre board at the world championships in Perth. Two years later she won an Olympic diploma in Sydney when she and partner Catherine Maliev-Aviolat finished eighth in the synchronised diving.
Domestically, Schneider was rarely outdone – winning no less than 14 national titles.
Schneider now plans to concentrate on her work as a presenter of motivational business seminars as well as writing columns for the Swiss media.
