Ticino sanctuary helps hedgehogs in need

A former engineer and doctor's assistant have given up the dream of a quiet retirement and, instead, created Switzerland's biggest hedgehog sanctuary in their own home. The two volunteers work around the clock to save the lives of the tiny creatures brought to their door every day in the village of Maggia in the southern canton of Ticino. The centre is funded by donations from the public. (Julie Hunt, swissinfo.ch)
