Federer crashes out at Australian Open

Switzerland's Roger Federer has lost his semifinal match against Serbia's Novak Djokovic in straight sets 5-7, 3-6, 6-7.

The world number one led 5-3 in the first set but succumbed to third-seeded Djokovic. Federer had been looking to win his 13th grand slam title.

Federer was attempting to win his fourth Australian Open title and his third in a row.

In the final on Sunday Djokovic will face Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France who stunned Spain’s Rafael Nadal in the semifinal.
