St Moritz teases gourmet palates
Switzerland's chic mountain resort is hosting its annual gourmet festival, "Gourmet Islands of St Moritz, with top-rated chefs from around the world.
Nine international guest teams will be present. They will include the best chefs from Las Vegas, Berlin, Paris and Singapore.
A total of 19 establishments, including all of the resort’s five-star hotels, are taking part in the event, from January 25 to February 2. The festival’s finale, which will include a multi-course menu for some 400 guests, will be held on St Moritz’ frozen lake.
St Moritz boasts more than 280 points in France’s gastronomical guide, the Gault Millau, leading some critics to describe it as the leading culinary landscape of the alps.
Prices for meals range from SFr175 to 400, and reservations are required.
