Freeriding frowned upon by accident experts
Switzerland has suffered its deadliest avalanches in more than a decade, with eight recent deaths among off-piste skiers in the Alps. Heavy snowfall has heightened the risk of avalanches, but some resorts are still encouraging skiers to go off the beaten track and experience the thrills of untouched snow.
