At least four Swiss cabinet ministers will attend the World Economic Forum in Davos at the end of January, the government has announced.
Economics Minister Doris Leuthard, Foreign Minister Micheline Calmy-Rey and Environment, Transport and Energy Minister Moritz Leuenberger will accompany Finance Minister Hans-Rudolf Merz, who also holds the Swiss presidency for 2009.
Ueli Maurer, the newly elected defence minister, may also attend.
The ministers' schedules are still being determined but their days will likely include slots for short meetings, the Federal Chancellery said.
Calmy-Rey and Justice Minister Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf will also attend the seventh Open Forum planned by the Federation of Swiss Protestant Churches and the World Economic Forum.
Former United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan, Swiss National Bank President Jean-Pierre Roth and Ngozi Okongo Iweala, head of the World Bank, are also due to take part.
