Simmen out of action
Former Olympic snowboarding champion Gian Simmen will be taking things easy for at least two months after fracturing his shoulder during a photo-shoot.
The Swiss star, who struck gold in the halfpipe at the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics, sustained the injury last Sunday in the Colorado resort of Breckenridge.
Following a successful operation in Bern on Friday, the 25-year-old boarder has been told he will have to rest for between two to three months.
